OK, I've read everything I could fine on Pureing from the fine company of SST and I've read quite a bit about spining. I even recently read an article about Mr. Woods selecting two sets of clubs that were pured.

BUT, for us mere mortals, is there a real difference between puring and spining? 

AND is there a significant difference between a shaft where the orientation has been modified and one that hasn't?

Tthere is but If I post my opinion there will be a big never ending debate. Let's just say that SST aligns the spine towards the target while most of the clubmaking world aligns the NBP towards the target.
