AGCP Members – Apply for your Qualification Level Test for Certification listing on our locator pages.
Any Gold Level member can apply for certification after being a member for 1 year. You must be an active member to apply for certification.
Review the Qualification Level requirements and determine where you belong based on your experience, ability, and the equipment you have in your shop. We require photographs of other certifications, school certificates and business license if your level requires it. We test you on your knowledge and will require photographic proof of you equipment before we certify you to the public by placing your Qualification Level on the locator pages. All of your information goes into your permanent file for future reference.
- Qualification Testing is $150 for the test and certification and you have adequate time to complete the test and take the necessary pictures of your equipment and other certification.
- You will be required to pay an annual certification fee of $25 to maintain the listing on the locator pages. If you do not pay the annual fee all but your name, address and phone number will be removed from the locator.
- You must be an AGCP member to be Certified by the AGCP
- The certification test is an essay test, not an open book multiple guess test. We want you to tell us in your own words how you do things. We are not interested in how well you can copy answers or paraphrase answers from a book. We will not accept answers that are copied from a book or paraphrased from a book.
Members can apply for Certification upgrade to their AGCP Certification: $75
If you have an AGCP Qualification Certification already and you have added experience, purchased new equipment or otherwise fulfilled additional requirements that you believe fits an higher qualification level you may apply for the higher level.
Apply here and and order the upgrade test for your level is necessary.
When you submit your test, please include a resume so we can issue a press release via Constant Contact about your upgrade to a higher level. Include all the information you want to share with the public.
NOTE: You have to be AGCP Certified to apply for an upgrade. The AGCP does not recognize certifications from any other organization as valid towards your AGCP Certification.
Members can apply for Master of Golf Club Technology Certification: $500
- AGCP Master of Golf Club Technology is the most prestigious title in clubfitting.
- Applications are Available Only to AGCP Level 9 & 10 Members in good standing.
- Once you have achieved your Level 9 or Level 10 Certificate your next step is to become an AGCP Master.
The Masters Application Fee is a non refundable fee of $250. This fee is required when you wish to submit for Masters testing. Once you have submitted your application the Masters Committee of Keith Chatham, Michael Monahan, and Jerry Lovell will guide you through your Masters process and all the Masters will be involved in your acceptance as an AGCP Master. You will be required to pay a second payment of $250 prior to taking your test or making your presentation in lieu of a test. How you are tested will be left to the Masters Committee.
If you fail the test you will be required to re-apply and pay the application fee again.
